Dean's Message

Dear student:

Thank you for your interest in our School. The information on this site represents a summary of our program. Since 1981, we have offered our students a rich variety of academic and clinical experiences in primary eye care. Our graduates now successfully practice in most towns of the Island, many states of the continental United States, Europe and South America.

Our program is uniquely bilingual. When you finish your course of studies you will have acquired communication skills in Spanish and English that will allow you to serve the large Hispanic populations inside the Island and in continental U.S.

For those of you who access this site from outside the Island, something that these pages can not convey appropriately is the natural friendliness and warmth of the Puerto Rican people.

The Island also offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy its natural beauties, as well as cultural and sports events of all types.

Feel free to visit us when you deem it appropriate. Our house is your house. I hope to greet many of you personally in the near future.

In the meantime let me wish each one of you continued success.
